Carbide Saw Blade Sharpening Service
When an industrial carbide-tipped blade goes dull, you don't have to replace it. We coordinate professional resharpening for carbide-tipped circular saw blades and dado sets — you send your blades in, we route them to our sharpening partner, and they come back to you sharp and restored to spec. We don't grind on-site; we manage the logistics and the quality control so you have one point of contact instead of chasing down a sharpening shop.
Resharpening is the core of cost-per-cut economics. A quality industrial brazed-carbide blade is built to be sharpened repeatedly — typically 10–15 cycles over its life, versus 3–4 on a thin consumer-grade blade. Each cycle restores the cut for a fraction of replacement cost. See the full cost-per-cut breakdown →

What we coordinate sharpening for
- Carbide-tipped circular saw blades — table, miter, radial-arm, panel, rip, crosscut, and combination blades.
- Dado sets and groovers — outer blades and chippers sharpened as a matched set so stack width stays true.
- Any brand — if it's a carbide-tipped blade, we can have it sharpened. It doesn't have to be a blade you bought from us.
- All common grinds restored to original geometry — ATB, TCG, FTG, Hi-ATB, and triple-chip.
- All diameters — a $5.00 large-blade fee applies to blades 20" and larger.

When to sharpen vs. replace
Sharpen when the teeth are dull or the cut quality has dropped but the carbide tips are intact and the plate is flat and true. This is the normal maintenance cycle — most industrial blades earn back their cost many times over through repeated sharpening.
Replace when carbide tips are cracked, chipped past the braze line, or missing; when the plate is bent, cracked, or shows significant runout; or when the blade has been sharpened down far enough that tooth height no longer meets spec. If we see a blade that can't be economically restored, we'll tell you before charging for the work.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sharpen blades in-house?
No. We coordinate sharpening through a professional sharpening partner — your blades are sent out and returned directly to you. We handle the quoting, routing, and quality check so you deal with one source.
Can you sharpen blades I didn't buy from you?
Yes — any brand. If it's a carbide-tipped blade, we can have it sharpened, whether or not you bought it from us.
How many times can a blade be resharpened?
A quality industrial brazed-carbide blade can typically be resharpened 10–15 times over its life. Thin-kerf and consumer-grade blades have less carbide to work with and tolerate far fewer cycles.
Will sharpening change my blade's diameter?
Minimally, and only over many cycles. Top (OD) grinding removes a small amount of material each time, so a blade's diameter shrinks slightly across its full sharpening life — not enough to matter for a single service.
How should I ship my blades?
Protect the carbide tips with edge guards or stiff cardboard and pack the blades flat so they can't shift in transit. Include a note or copy of your quote with blade specs and your return address.
Can you restore a specific tooth geometry?
Yes. Specify the grind you need restored (ATB, TCG, FTG, Hi-ATB, triple-chip) when you request your quote, and the blade comes back ground to that geometry.
