LORNA Industrial – Premium German-Made Saw Blades, Our House Brand

LORNA Industrial is our flagship house brand — the line we built because we wanted a saw blade we could put our own name on. Premium materials, premium finish, and the quality control that comes from a small team that cares about every blade that ships from our facility in Anna, Texas.

Why we built LORNA Industrial

We've sold a lot of saw blades over the years. We've seen what separates a blade that lasts three sharpenings from one that lasts thirty. We've seen what feels right under load and what doesn't. LORNA is the line we built when we decided to stop compromising — first-class steel saw bodies, premium carbide tips, CNC-ground geometry, and the kind of attention to balance and tension that you can only get from a manufacturer that takes saw blade engineering seriously.

We back every LORNA blade with the same level of service we'd want for ourselves. That means real expert support on the phone, sharpening when you need it, and modifications when your machine demands them. LORNA blades are manufactured in Germany by Walter — one of Europe's most respected industrial saw blade manufacturers — to our specifications. We chose Walter because we wanted LORNA built to the absolute highest standards of European precision manufacturing, with no compromises on materials or finish.

The LORNA name

The name is inspired by the movie Gone in 60 Seconds — not by a specific character, but by the idea behind it. If you've ever loved a car enough to name her, you know the type: the one that always starts, always gets you home, never lets you down. An old reliable. Trustworthy. That's LORNA.

What we stock

The LORNA catalog covers the applications cabinet shops, millwork producers, and industrial machinists actually need:

  • Stacked dado sets — our flagship 8" Super Stack Dado Set cuts 20 different widths from 1/4" to 29/32", including dedicated combos for undersized 15/32" and 23/32" plywood
  • Table saw blades for combination, rip, and crosscut work
  • Industrial production blades for cabinet shop and millwork applications
  • Specialty geometry blades for melamine, plywood, hardwood, and metal-cutting applications

Over 140 LORNA SKUs in stock at our Anna, Texas facility. Same-day shipping on in-stock items.

The engineering inside a LORNA blade

Every LORNA Industrial blade is built around the details that separate professional tooling from consumer-grade equivalents:

  • First-class steel saw bodies — precision-tensioned for stable cutting under load
  • Premium brazed carbide tips — held to tight grain and hardness specifications, re-sharpenable for years of production service
  • CNC-ground tooth geometry — accurate hook, face, top, and side angles for the application the blade is designed for
  • SawStop-compatible sizing on 10" blades — our standard 10" diameter blades are a true 254mm, sized correctly for SawStop's blade-fit specification (non-dado applications)
  • Industrial balance and tension — quiet, smooth running on properly maintained equipment

In-house sharpening — at our Anna, TX facility

We operate our own sharpening facility alongside the LORNA warehouse in Anna, Texas. We can sharpen LORNA blades and most major industrial saw blade brands on the same equipment we use to maintain our own inventory. Local sharpening service means short turnaround times, direct conversation with the people doing the work, and no shipping your tooling across the country and crossing your fingers.

Send us your blades for sharpening, or call (855) 628-7297 to talk through what you need.

Custom modifications

LORNA Industrial blades can be modified to your exact spindle configuration — custom bore sizes, pinhole drive patterns (3+3, 2+2, custom), keyways, or splitting for specialized mounting. Modifications are performed in a full machine shop using wire EDM, precision lathes, and mills.

  • Typical lead time: ~5 business days (LORNA blades ship to the modification shop first)
  • Rush option: $30 per blade for priority handling
  • Tight tolerances and minimal runout, even on heavily modified blades

Who LORNA Industrial is for

  • Cabinet shops that have outgrown big-box tooling and want a production blade they can sharpen and run for years
  • Millwork operations cutting plywood, hardwoods, melamine, and finished panels where shoulder quality and tear-out resistance matter
  • Industrial OEM shops needing tight-tolerance blades for custom production environments
  • Trade schools and vocational programs that want their flagship saw setups equipped with the same caliber of blade their students will use in industry
  • Serious hobbyists who consider their shop work serious enough to invest in serious tooling

LORNA Industrial vs. Popular Tools — which should I buy?

We carry both brands for a reason — they fit different jobs.

  • LORNA Industrial is our flagship line — the blade we recommend when you want our absolute best, when finish matters most, and when you want a blade you'll happily sharpen and run for years.
  • Popular Tools is the inventory-depth answer — industrial-grade quality at a strong price, with a catalog of 430+ SKUs that gives us 99.99% stock reliability across an enormous range of specifications. Browse Popular Tools →

If you're not sure which is right for your application, call us at (855) 628-7297. We'll help you pick.

What's the right blade really cost?

The purchase price isn't the right number to compare. What matters is the cost per cut over the blade's full lifecycle — including sharpening. Premium LORNA blades that survive 10-15 sharpening cycles deliver dramatically lower per-cut costs than budget alternatives that retire after 3-4 cycles. Read our full cost-per-cut breakdown →

Frequently asked questions

What makes LORNA different from generic industrial blades?
LORNA is our house brand, manufactured to our specifications in Germany by Walter — one of Europe's most respected industrial saw blade manufacturers. We sell LORNA because we'd put one on our own saw.

Can LORNA blades be re-sharpened?
Yes — and we sharpen them ourselves at our Anna, Texas facility. Premium brazed carbide tips hold up to 10-15 sharpening cycles, and our in-house service means short turnaround times.

Do LORNA blades work on SawStop machines?
Our standard 10" LORNA blades are a true 254mm, sized to fit SawStop's blade-fit specification for non-dado applications. LORNA dado sets are not SawStop-compatible — SawStop maintains an approved list for dado use that doesn't include standard industrial dado sets.

Can I get a custom bore size or pinhole pattern on a LORNA blade?
Yes. LORNA blades can be modified with custom bores, pinhole patterns, keyways, or split for specialized mounting. Typical lead time is about 5 business days; $30/blade rush option available. Full details.

Where are LORNA blades manufactured?
